Bell is proud to have two partnership schools in China:
Bell Shanghai
This partnership School was opened officially in the Pu Dong part of the city in April 2003. It is a purpose-built language centre in its own grounds, with 25 Bell-designed classrooms, a computer centre, language lab, reading room, lecture theatre, and a spacious staffroom with good resources and individual computer and internet access. There is also a canteen, and a British-style bar. Accommodation for staff is provided free of charge in nearby company apartments and there is plentiful residential accommodation for students from outside Shanghai.
As the partnership is with China's largest shipbuilding company (Hu Dong Zhong Hua Shipbuilding Group), between a quarter and a half of the students at any one time may be from the company itself. For external clients Bell Shanghai has so far provided IELTS/General English, Business English, Teacher Development and Young Learner courses delivered in local schools.
