The Primary 3 curriculum is based on the curriculum for England at year 2 (Key Stage 1).

It builds and expands the essential knowledge children need to become educated citizens, inspiring their learning and promoting an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.

Learning outcomes

In Bell Primary 3 your child will:

  • Express themselves competently in a range of situations
  • Build on phonic awareness to develop their fluency in reading
  • Compose short narratives, developing into writing in various styles
  • Develop skills in addition and substraction, multiplication and division, fractions, measurement, properties of shapes, position and direction and statistics
  • Develop a rich understanding of their culture and environment
